About The Position

The Medical Assistant provides patient care to assigned patients at Grand Valley Primary Care - Palisade according to hospital standards and procedures. The role interviews patients, measures and records required vital signs, and assists providers with assigned patients in the clinic. It also completes requested administrative functions and manages medical-supply, material, and medication inventory orders for submission to the Practice Administrator. This is a full-time position at 731 Iowa Ave Ste A, Palisade, CO 81526. The anticipated compensation range is $20.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, education, experience, and other applicable factors. A $3,000 signing bonus is offered, paid according to the sign-on bonus agreement. Applications are expected to be accepted through October 31, 2026, though the deadline may be extended.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current national Medical Assistant certification or registration from one of the following: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) of AMT, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) of the AAMA.
Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

Two years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care to assigned patients in the practice according to hospital standards and procedures.
Interview patients and measure required vital signs, including pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
Record patient information and vital signs in patients' charts.
Assist the provider with assigned patients in the clinic according to hospital standards and procedures.
Complete administrative functions as requested.
Inventory medical supplies, materials, and medications and submit orders to the Practice Administrator.
