About The Position

Valley Health Partners (VHP) Street Medicine delivers primary and urgent health care to persons experiencing homelessness in the Lehigh Valley. The team uses a holistic, patient-led approach to provide high-quality health care and address barriers to access. The Medical Assistant assists with healthcare services under established policies and protocols, including obtaining specimens, conducting routine lab studies, and supporting administrative functions as part of the clinical care delivery team under the direction of an LPN, RN, or medical provider.

The role requires walking on uneven ground, using a reliable vehicle suitable for all weather, working outside in all weather conditions, working independently in a fast-paced environment, and lifting and carrying 25 to 40 pounds.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program.
• CPR certification.
• Walk on uneven ground.
• Have a reliable vehicle appropriate for all weather.

• Lift and carry 25 to 40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree in a Medical Assistant Program, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• More than 2 years of experience in a physician office or clinical setting.
• Certified Medical Assistant.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Obtain specimens.
• Conduct routine laboratory studies.
