About The Position

Chicago ENT is seeking experienced Medical Assistants (MA) to partner with providers and ensure prompt, accurate, and compassionate patient care. This role offers an opportunity to grow skills in a unique and comprehensive ENT care setting. The position is part-time, with a schedule of Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and some Thursdays as needed. Occasional travel to Skokie, Lakeview, Halsted, and Peterson practices is required. The Medical Assistant will assist Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with patient evaluation, management, and treatment in an ambulatory care setting. Responsibilities include maintaining patient flow, keeping exam and treatment rooms tidy, and performing basic skills like taking vital signs and point-of-care testing. The role also involves administering intramuscular injections, immunizations, and over-the-counter medications under physician direction. Over time, Medical Assistants will be cross-trained in all specialties and ancillary services, including ENT, Sleep, Allergy, Cosmetic, CT, and Triage. The role requires availability for scheduled hours and travel between office locations where assigned providers host clinics. The MA Lead assigns weekly schedules not exceeding 25 hours, between 7 AM and 7 PM, potentially across 5 days including Monday to Friday.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Current CPR Certification required
  • Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up-to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program
  • Minimum of two years clinical experience
  • Previous surgical experience
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT

Responsibilities
