About The Position
The Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) is an integral member of a Physician/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) office team and works under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. The role requires performing safe clinical skills within the MA-C scope of practice. The MA-C has continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients, and patients’ families or caregivers. The position is full-time (FTE 1), day shift, with a schedule during clinic hours. External applicants with at least one year of experience and a two-year commitment are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Compensation is $24.83–$35.71 per hour; actual pay may depend on skills, experience, certifications, and education. Requirements
- Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) credential.
- Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities
- Organize patient flow in collaboration with front office staff.
- Interview patients and obtain vital signs.
- Assist patients in preparing for exams or treatments.
- Collect specimens, including through venipuncture.
- Administer medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency.
- Relay instructions and information to patients and their families or caregivers.
- Send and receive patient medical records.
- Facilitate patient referrals.
- Prepare forms for patients.
