The Medical Assistant provides high quality care to meet departmental goals; responsibly and cost effectively manages equipment, supplies and ancillary services; establishes communication and maintains good working relationships with physicians and office personnel to facilitate quality patient care; demonstrates an understanding of non-judgmental care as it relates to the psychological and emotional needs of the patients. Job duties include work in satellite offices, fill in for staff vacancies, and/or taking other physicians call; assists in orienting new staff; assumes role as patient advocate; dress and conduct is professional as a representative; interacts well with other team members frequent exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
