About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred)
  • Certification from AAMA, AMT, NHA, or other recognized organization (often preferred)
  • Basic computer skills and electronic health record experience

  • New graduates may be considered with strong clinical training experience

  • Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing basic clinical procedures
  • Ability to operate standard medical equipment (EKG machines, autoclaves, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature)
  • Prepare patients for examinations
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens

  • Change dressings and remove sutures
