About The Position

We Care Daily Clinics (WCDC) is a modern facility providing treatment for addiction in a person-centered environment. WCDC aims to restore hope and purpose for individuals battling opioid use through a holistic approach, evidence-based treatment, and by removing barriers to recovery. The clinic offers an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) utilizing FDA-approved medication alongside behavioral health counseling, with individualized service plans in a supportive, safe environment. Additional services include planned patient transportation and family/social support. The Medical Assistant supports clinic operations by providing direct member care, assisting providers, and ensuring the seamless delivery of healthcare services. This role demands adaptability, collaboration, and a clear understanding of the medical assistant scope of licensure. The Medical Assistant interacts with a diverse group of individuals, including members, staff, providers, and external contacts, to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. This position is part of the Medical Support Team, which includes Medical Assistants and Medical Support LPN Nurses, who are expected to support each other across duties within their current training and licensure.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of a qualified Medical Assistant course with active certification valid in the state of Washington.
Knowledge of medical support MA scope of licensure and professional guidelines.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer applications.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals, including members, staff, providers, and external contacts.

Responsibilities

Assist providers in preparing for and delivering clinical services, including exams, procedures, and treatments.
Collect and document member vital signs, medical histories, and relevant health information.
Perform medical procedures such as blood draws, EKGs, and UA collections within the medical assistant scope of licensure.
Prepare members for their visits, ensuring comfort and understanding of procedures.
Provide compassionate care, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for members.
Educate members about their treatment plans, follow-up care, and available resources.
Address member questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Prepare and maintain the clinic for daily operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adequate supplies.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate member flow and optimize service delivery.
Support accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Work closely with providers and clinical staff as part of the Medical Support Team to deliver integrated, member-centered care.
Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas to improve operations and member experiences.
Assist in onboarding and training new team members as needed.
Support team members across duties as allowed by current training and licensure.
