About The Position

Concentra is hiring a Medical Assistant in Corona to provide routine medical care and support a positive patient experience. The role involves working one-on-one with patients, monitoring patient onboarding and flow, and performing clinical procedures. The Medical Assistant will also be cross-trained to handle front-office duties. The position requires discretion and secure management of confidential and sensitive information. Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, training as a medical assistant, or military medical specialist with current credentials in the state of employment.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic clinical office environment.
• Ongoing discretion and secure management of confidential and sensitive information.
• Conversational fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to read and write both languages, preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) certification is preferred but not required.
• Conversational fluency and reading and writing ability in both English and Spanish are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, obtain their medical histories, and verify patient information.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, take vital signs, and perform required testing.
• Assist during examinations and treatment.
• Perform ancillary testing and tasks as directed by the Center Medical Director and as certified, including PFTs, EKGs, injections, audiograms, and blood draws.
• Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Cross-train and perform front-office duties, including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, checking patients in and out, and communicating wait times.
• Perform duties and activities that may change with or without notice.
