About The Position

This recruitment is for Temporary Full-Time Medical Assistant positions through UCI's internal temporary staffing department. Positions can be located at various UC Irvine sites including UC Irvine - Campus, UC Irvine Medical Center - Orange, and multiple other locations across Orange County and surrounding areas. The role involves working closely with clinical staff and doctors, rooming patients, taking vital signs, performing data entry, assisting with procedures, and administering blood draws, EKGs, and vaccines.

Requirements

• General Knowledge of HIPAA.
• Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology, including medical terminology.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA.
• Must be able to provide proof of work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with other clinical staff and doctors.
• Rooming patients and checking vital signs.
• Performing data entry into a medical records system.
• Assisting doctors and nurses with procedures.
• Blood draws, EKGs, and Vaccine administration.
