About The Position

We are looking for a Temporary, Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our team. Your job will be to provide welcoming care to our patients. Our medical practice is quite lively. A Salud Medical Assistant treats our patients with the utmost respect and concern for their physical, emotional, and mental well-being while instilling a fun and vibrant atmosphere bringing smiles to all who enter our doors. Requirements

Current Medical Assistant Certificate
High school diploma or equivalent required
The ability to work with people from all walks of life and to meet them in their place of need
All Medical Assistants must be certified within 6 months of hire and certification must be maintained throughout employment.
Medical Assistants without any formal Medical Assistant training are required to have a current Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant.
A Medical Assistant not certified/registered upon hire is required to complete the Medical Assistant certification/registration testing within 3 months of hire. If an employee does not pass, they will be given an additional 3 months to retake the test.

Nice To Haves

Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program, a minimum of 6 months in length, preferred.
Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

Determine the nature of the patient’s visit and obtain vitals.
Maintain a clean and organized environment for both patients and staff.
Provide welcoming care to our patients.
Treat patients with the utmost respect and concern for their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Welcome patients as the first step in treatment prior to seeing the Doctor, NP, or PA.
Provide clear necessary communication through thorough and concise chart documentation.
