About The Position

SMG Cardiology Specialists are hiring a Medical Assistant! A sign-on bonus of up to 5K is offered to eligible candidates. This full-time position is located in Norfolk, VA, and involves performing patient care and administrative/clerical tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of a Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Certified Medical Assistant OR Registered Medical Assistant OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant OR Certified EMT (EMT-B, AEMT)
BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
1 year clinical/administrative experience preferred
Phlebotomy experience preferred
Experience with electronic medical records preferred

Responsibilities
