About The Position

The Medical Assistant provides nursing assistance and patient care to support patients’ comfort, safety, and personal needs. The role assists physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting and performs patient care duties as part of a multidisciplinary team. Specific duties are assigned by supervising physicians, clinical staff, and the Practice Coordinator after competency is established.
Requirements
- One year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Visual color acuity screening, depending on the role in specific units.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing assistance and patient care to support patients’ comfort, safety, and personal needs.
- Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting.
- Perform patient care duties within a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by a physician.
- Carry out duties assigned by supervising physicians, clinical staff, and the Practice Coordinator after competency is established.
