About The Position
Sentara Cardiology Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant-non-certified in Charlottesville, VA. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week, from 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM. The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative and clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Occasional float as needed.
Requirements
- One year of clinical/administrative experience required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Certification must be received within (9) nine months of employment in one of the following certification programs: CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or CMA- Certified Medical Assistant or RMA- Registered Medical Assistant or EMT- Emergency Medical Technician
- BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
