About The Position
Vail Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their Family Med team in Avon, Colorado. This role is crucial to supporting providers and patients of all ages, ensuring compassionate and professional care delivery within a unique mountain setting. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for a variety of clinical tasks and patient interactions, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of care provided by the healthcare system.
Requirements
- 2+ years of clinical or administrative healthcare experience preferred
- Skilled in venipuncture, injections, and IV therapy
- Certified as a Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN, RN, or similar
- BLS certification required
- Tech-savvy with EHR systems and basic computer skills
Responsibilities
- Taking vitals and documenting patient history
- Assisting with exams and minor procedures
- Performing venipunctures, injections, and IV therapy
- Monitoring patient conditions and communicating updates
- Managing patient communications and flow
- Keeping exam rooms stocked, clean, and ready
- Upholding HIPAA, OSHA, and Vail Health’s values
