About The Position
Ascension is seeking a Medical Assistant for their Primary Care department at Rawson Medical Center in Franklin, WI. This full-time, day shift position involves assisting physicians and nurses with patient care, including examinations, treatments, and clinical duties. The role also includes interviewing patients to record medical history and vital signs, preparing and sanitizing treatment rooms, and managing essential clerical tasks such as phone correspondence and record maintenance.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Previous MA experience preferred.
- MA education and/or on the job prior experience as an MA.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.
- Interview patients to record medical history and accurately measure vital signs for charting.
- Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
- Manage essential clerical tasks, including phone correspondence, record maintenance, and filing.
