Medical Assistant - Primary Care
About The Position
Saint Luke’s Health System Primary Clinics are looking for a Medical Assistant (CMA) to be an integral part of our provider team that delivers high quality patient-centered medical care to our community. This position is responsible for assisting providers in the evaluation, management and delivery of professional medical care in a busy multi-specialty physician practice. This position is located at the Mission Farms clinic in Overland Park, KS and is full time Monday-Friday, with no holidays. We are looking for someone with a positive, outgoing personality to join our team to provide excellent patient care and a seamless patient experience.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience
Responsibilities
- Provide an excellent patient experience by managing the flow of patients, providing excellent customer service, establishing rapport with patients and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Conduct Pre-visit plans, room patients and obtain vitals
- Phlebotomy as needed
- Administer injections and coordinate vaccines
- Assist providers with procedures
- Utilize the EMR system and scan/download documents
- Complete various administrative tasks as needed such as prior authorizations, RX refills, etc.
- Conduct telephone screening (with protocols)
- Cover front office responsibilities as needed
- Travel between Saint Luke’s Multispecialty clinic locations may be required
