About The Position
The Medical Assistant works in the Internal Medicine department at Prime Healthcare Medical Group in Kankakee, Illinois. The role assists physicians with patient care and with clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. It also involves scheduling appointments and managing charts, providing patients with information to help them use and benefit from clinic services, and conveying a positive image of the organization. The schedule is Monday through Friday, during the day.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience, as required for new hires effective April 2014.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain it current.
- At least one year of work experience in a public-contact job.
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
- Work experience in health care preferred.
