About The Position

Patient Care • Greet patients, verify identification, and prepare them for examination. • Measure and record vital signs, height, weight, and other required clinical data. • Assist with examinations and procedures under provider supervision. • Collect specimens (urine, swabs, blood if certified), label, and prepare for laboratory processing. Clinical & Administrative Support • Document patient history, symptoms, and clinical data in the electronic medical record (EMR). • Maintain clean and fully stocked exam rooms before and after patient visits. • Assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and managing patient communications. • Support providers by preparing instruments, medical supplies, and equipment. Compliance & Safety • Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic safety standards. • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of biohazardous materials. • Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is always audit ready. Patient Interaction & Service Excellence • Provide clear instructions to patients before and after procedures. • Demonstrate excellent customer service, empathy, and professionalism. • Maintain patient confidentiality and foster a welcoming clinic environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, etc.).
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in taking vital signs, basic procedures, and using EMR systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a medical office, urgent care, or outpatient setting.
  • Prior experience in a clinical trial setting
  • Experience with phlebotomy and specimen processing.
