About The Position
Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. Medical Assistants must adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. They are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion during all interactions. Interventional radiology is a minimally invasive, targeted treatment. It is first-line care for treating a wide range of conditions, including cancer, spinal problems, vascular disease, and pain. It eliminates the need for open surgeries, posing less risk to you. It may decrease your hospitalization time as well.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
- Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
