About The Position

Bethany Medical is seeking a motivated CMA/RMA to join its High Point, North Carolina team full-time. The Medical Assistant works closely with providers and fellow staff to support quality patient care and satisfaction. Duties include interviewing patients; measuring vital signs; performing phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, spirometry, and specimen collection; documenting information in patient charts and the EMR; preparing examination rooms; and educating patients. Ongoing competency and skills assessment is required.

Requirements

• One of the following certifications is required or must be obtained within six months of hire: CMA (verified through AAMA), RMA (verified through AMT), NCMA (verified through NCCT), or ABR-OE (verified through AAMA).

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in family practice, neurology, pain management, or internal medicine is preferred.
• Multilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and collect patient information.
• Measure vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens.
• Administer injections and immunizations.
• Perform EKGs and spirometry.
• Record and enter patient data into charts and the EMR.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Provide patient education.
• Work with providers and fellow staff to support quality patient care and satisfaction.
• Participate in ongoing competency and skills assessments.
