About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant or Non-Credentialed Medical Assistant. Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Medical Assistants must be certified within 90 days.
  • Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty Care and Phlebotomy experience is a plus!
  • Certification through a national agency such as AAMA, NCCT, etc. is strongly preferred.
  • New GRADS, MA, and CNAs are Welcome to apply!
  • ACLS may be required by specialty.
  • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience with EPIC is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the medical staff by collecting information, escorting patients to exam rooms, and preparing patients for examination.
  • Performs regular complex patient care associated with the specialty, including, but not limited to, laser treatments, and assisting with procedures and tests.
  • Provides health education and routine information related to medical treatments, procedures, and data collection.
  • Utilizes EMR to process prescriptions, retrieve test results, and patient files.
  • Scheduling appointments for established patients as needed.
  • Obtaining needed imaging for physician review.
  • Ordering labs.
  • Facilitating prescriptions.
  • Coverage of patient advice line.
  • Processing Referrals to outside entities.
  • Updating records as needed.
  • Assisting with the overall delivery of patient care in the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
