About The Position

The Medical Assistant works in an orthopedic clinic, assisting with the implementation of healthcare services and providing individualized, direct patient care under the supervision of a physician. The role supports fellow employees in delivering high-quality, personalized patient care and maintains positive working relationships with the healthcare team. The position may involve floating and rotating across outpatient areas, as well as travel and weekend or holiday work.

Requirements

• A Medical Assisting diploma, degree, or certificate is required. Other medical certificates in a related field may be considered when combined with CMA/RMA certification.
• Medical Assistant credentialing is required within 120 calendar days of hire; exceptions may be considered due to testing schedules or unforeseen circumstances.
• Active American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS certification at hire, maintained throughout employment, is required. American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers is accepted at hire only.
• Knowledge and skills in techniques of good patient care.
• Ability to operate office equipment, including personal computers, fax machines, copiers, and telephones.
• Accuracy, integrity, and flexibility to work in multiple outpatient areas.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Electronic Medical Records experience.
• Previous ambulatory-care medical assisting or nursing experience.
