About The Position

MaxHealth is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for its North Fort Myers clinic. The Medical Assistant supports patient care by greeting and triaging patients, preparing them to see the physician, and assisting with examinations, procedures, and treatments. The role also includes administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and procedures and managing pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. The position is based at 525 Pine Island Road, North Fort Myers. Normal operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Candidates must be bilingual in Spanish and English. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with compensation depending on experience.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Bilingual Spanish and English ability.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Computer literacy, including experience using EMR/EHR systems.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival.
• Prepare examination and procedure rooms.
• Obtain patients’ histories, vital signs, and height and weight measurements.
• Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Schedule patient appointments and procedures as needed.
• Manage pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results.
