About The Position

Tryfacta is seeking a Medical Assistant for a client in Beverly Hills, California, for a 13-week contract assignment. The role is scheduled for day shifts, five 8-hour shifts, with the listed schedule of 07:00–19:00. The pay rate is $34–$37 per hour and is negotiable.

The Medical Assistant supports clinic operations by coordinating appointments, patient registration, provider schedules, patient records, and administrative workflows. The position involves managing inboxes for 6–8 provider pools, using the Epic EHR system, handling patient and provider communications, and maintaining confidentiality and compliance with clinic policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program.
• At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
• At least 1 year of recent Epic EHR experience.
• Previous travel healthcare experience.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
• Strong appointment scheduling, patient registration, and administrative skills.
• Experience managing 6–8 provider pools and handling inbox messages.
• Typing speed of 40–45 WPM.
• Knowledge of chart preparation, insurance verification, authorization forms, and patient records.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Availability to work weekdays and weekends as required.
• Compliance with the facility's flu vaccination requirements; exemptions and declinations are not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and register patients accurately.
• Manage 6–8 provider pools, monitor inboxes, and route messages appropriately.
• Prepare and maintain patient charts and update patient information in the Epic EHR system.
• Verify insurance information and assist with authorization forms.
• Handle telephone calls, patient inquiries, follow-up calls, and prescription refill requests.
• Coordinate provider schedules and manage administrative clinic workflows.
• Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with clinic policies.
• Perform general administrative duties, including organizing records, ordering supplies, and maintaining office inventory.
• Communicate professionally with providers, staff, and patients to support efficient clinic operations.
