About The Position
Jessie Trice Community Health System is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to support its clinical units. The Medical Assistant provides essential support in patient care, administrative tasks, and medical procedures, working closely with healthcare professionals to help deliver high-quality patient services.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: primary care, pediatrics, podiatry, or OB; one year of experience is specified, preferably in a community health or ambulatory care setting.
- Phlebotomy experience.
- Ability to seek assistance and information when necessary.
- Competent infection control skills and knowledge.
- Computer proficiency and working knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to complete the agency's EPIC training system within the 90-day probationary period.
- Medical graduates from non-US countries must have a Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited learning institution and at least one year of experience.
