About The Position
Saafe is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Medical Assistant to provide medical services to patients under the guidance of providers. The role includes welcoming patients, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality, and supporting patient care and clinic operations. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, adaptable, outgoing, a good listener, and an excellent problem solver. Bilingual ability is a plus but is not required.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with state accreditation based on a certifying exam.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well with a team in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous clinical experience is preferred.
- Bilingual ability is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Verify medical history and chart notes.
- Create and maintain patient-care plans, and instruct and guide patients on their progress.
- Ensure patient information, including billing information, is accurate.
- Take patients’ vital signs.
- Understand and follow medical terminology, office procedures, and policies.
- Verify insurance.
- Move patients through appointments according to schedule.
- Answer phones, collect co-pays, take messages, and greet patients.
- Assist with telehealth services.
- Complete other clerical duties as assigned.
- Maintain professionalism and patient confidentiality.
