About The Position

The Medical Assistant at Center for Family Health supports patients and providers and helps ensure access to compassionate, quality care for the community. The role works alongside a care team in a mission-driven environment that values teamwork and professional growth. Duties include rooming patients, collecting vital signs, updating medical records, assisting providers, educating patients, preparing exam rooms, processing information, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant or Practical Nursing program.
• BLS certification, or ability to obtain it.

Nice To Haves

• CMA, RMA, or LPN certification or registration is preferred.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, collect vital signs, and update medical records.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Educate patients on tests, treatments, and healthy practices.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Process labs, paperwork, and electronic messages accurately.
• Collaborate with care teams and support quality improvement initiatives.
