Medical Assistant
About The Position
The Medical Assistant Program is a 10-week paid program designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of various Saint Luke’s Physician Group clinics. The curriculum includes a review of body systems, pharmacology, medical terminology, lab values, and BLS certification. Participants will also be introduced to Saint Luke’s culture, with a focus on customer service and patient safety. The program is ideal for individuals with no prior experience as a Medical Assistant or who have not completed a Medical Assistant Program. The next session begins on August 10, 2026.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross certification.
Responsibilities
- Learn about a variety of Saint Luke’s Physician Group clinics.
- Complete a comprehensive review of body systems, pharmacology, medical terminology, and lab values.
- Obtain BLS certification.
- Be introduced to Saint Luke’s culture with an emphasis on customer service and patient safety.
- Participate in clinical rotations with an instructor.
- Complete home clinic orientation with a Success Coach.
