About The Position

Endeavor Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their Medical Group Cardiology team in Vernon Hills, IL. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, with operating hours Monday to Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The role involves providing essential support to the cardiology clinics, including traveling to other locations when necessary. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience required
• One year of work experience required
• CPR-BLS certification through the American Heart Association required

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred
• Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred
• Previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Perform basic vitals such as blood pressure, height and weight
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform phlebotomy and give injections (varies based on specialty)
