About The Position

Join Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital as a Medical Assistant on the Urology team. The role helps create a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, families, and visitors. In collaboration with clinical and administrative staff, the Medical Assistant supports medication management, patient monitoring, clinical and office tasks, compliance, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Graduate from an approved medical assisting program or have military training as a hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W), or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1).
• Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), or obtain it during the new-hire period.
• Complete a clinical externship or have extensive clinical experience.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assisting certification.
• Successful completion of a Cleveland Clinic externship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with screenings and treatments by gathering and updating health-maintenance information, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests, and documenting patient care.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies, and examination areas.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.
