About The Position

The Medical Assistant at Harris Urology supports providers in delivering advanced urology care in a fast-paced clinic that performs in-office procedures. The clinic team includes urology surgeons and is committed to providing personalized, high-quality care in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Under provider supervision, the Medical Assistant assists with patient assessments and treatments, performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection, monitors and communicates changes in patient condition, and documents care. The role also involves maintaining examination areas, equipment, and medical supplies, as well as performing administrative and clerical duties as assigned. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

• Previous medical office experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under provider supervision.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and collect specimens.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care provided.
• Maintain examination areas.
• Maintain medical equipment and supplies, including stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Perform assigned administrative or clerical duties, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Complete other tasks within the scope of the position as delegated by practice leads, supervisors, managers, or the Market Director.
