About The Position

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you will be part of the clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to help deliver care to patients. The role is based at the Visiting Specialists Grand Haven Care Center. Corewell Health operates more than 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, with a range of primary care and specialty practices offering opportunities to learn, explore different interests, or specialize.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills, or at least one year of experience working specifically as a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic, or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice.
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
One of the following certifications required within 120 days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA).

Nice To Haves

One year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting.
