About The Position
Baptist Health is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Baptist Primary Care - Mandarin Pediatrics office located on Old St. Augustine Road in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time opportunity working Monday-Friday from 8:00A-5:00P. The ideal candidate will perform back office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and assisting the provider.
Requirements
- 2+ years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides medical assistance to physicians
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
