About The Position

This role is ideal for recent college graduates aspiring to become PAs, NPs, MDs, or DOs. It offers the opportunity to perform a wide variety of back-office procedures such as venipuncture, EKGs, allergy tests, and spirometry. Selected candidates may also be eligible for Phlebotomist certification sponsorship. You will interact with a diverse patient population in primary and urgent care settings and support a diverse provider workforce. The compensation is competitive at $23/hr, with opportunities for advancement to Clinic Lead.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (in progress or completed)
• Availability to work 20-40 hours/week for at least 1 year

Nice To Haves

• No license/certification required
• Strong preference for fluency in Mandarin Chinese or Spanish

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and verify their insurance
• Take patient vitals
• Prepare discharge paperwork, including lab/imaging orders and referrals
• Schedule follow-up appointments
• Help improve quality of care by encouraging patients to complete preventive care
• Perform procedures including venipuncture, EKGs, allergy tests, immunizations, and more
• Assist providers with minor procedures such as sutures, I&D, splinting, joint injections, cervical cancer screenings, and more
• Help with Clinical Inbox tasks including submitting authorizations and following up on lab/imaging results
• Assist patients and providers with translation during the visit (for Chinese/Spanish speakers)
