About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting providers and the nursing team in the delivery of professional medical care. Specific duties include pre-visit planning, rooming patients, obtaining vitals, utilizing the EMR system, scanning and downloading of documents, administering injections/vaccines, assisting with procedures as needed, and other duties as assigned based on respective clinic need. The incumbent in this position must possess excellent customer service skills and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. This role may also involve covering front office job duties as needed. For individuals without prior Medical Assistant experience or who have not completed an MA Program, we offer a comprehensive training program. The Medical Assistant Program provides participants with exposure to various Saint Luke’s Physician Group clinics. This 10-week paid program includes a thorough review of body systems, pharmacology, medical terminology, lab values, and BLS certification. Trainees will also be introduced to Saint Luke’s culture, with a focus on customer service and patient safety.

Requirements

  • Less than 1 year applicable experience
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Medical Assistant (Certified) - Various
