MEDICAL ASSISTANT OUTLYING M-F 8am-5pm
About The Position
Sun Life Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for its outlying sites. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a real impact in patients' lives by supporting providers and ensuring smooth patient care across multiple locations. The role involves assisting with patient preparation, exams, immunizations, lab testing, and phlebotomy. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will educate patients on medications, preventative care, and self-management goals, while maintaining accurate documentation, clinic standards, and equipment/supply readiness. Front desk support, including check-in/out, payments, and scheduling, is also a key responsibility. The ideal candidate will act as a professional liaison between patients, providers, and other facilities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR certification required (can be obtained during orientation)
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred; eligible for certification pay differential
- 2–5 years’ Medical Assistant experience preferred
Responsibilities
