About The Position

Oak Street Medical Primary Care, part of Praxis Health, is seeking reliable, friendly, and energetic Medical Assistants with outstanding people skills to join their team. This role is crucial in supporting providers and ensuring seamless patient care. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, updating medical history and allergy/asthma information, accurately documenting in Electronic Health Records (EHR), assisting providers with clinical procedures and testing, managing clinical tasks such as prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription support, contributing to daily team flow, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or CNA
• Ability to multi-task and provide support to multiple providers
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
• BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or a community college program preferred

Responsibilities
