About The Position

Oregon Allergy Associates is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is experienced, fast-paced, driven, and highly team-oriented. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting providers and ensuring seamless patient care. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing charts, including PDMP reports and necessary consents Assisting with patient discharge and providing after-visit summaries Cleaning and restocking exam rooms to ensure readiness Performs various procedures such as EKGs, injections, vaccines, and ear irrigations with precision Completes controlled medication tasks following strict protocols Provides training to new Medical Assistants and contributes to special projects Handles complex phone calls requiring skilled communication and decision-making Flexibility and teamwork are essential for taking on additional responsibilities as needed to support Praxis Health’s commitment to patient care Room patients, obtain vitals, medical history, and allergy/asthma updates. Accurately document in Electronic Health Records (EHR). Manage clinical tasks including prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription support. Contribute to daily team flow, supporting both patients and fellow staff. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment. Reliable and consistent attendance.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or CNA
  • Ability to multi-task and provide support to multiple providers
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
  • BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or a community college program preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
