About The Position

MaxHealth in Lakewood Ranch is looking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant to oversee patient care, prepare patients' rooms, assist physicians with exams, and perform front desk tasks. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is compassionate, service-oriented, and can multitask with ease. The Medical Assistant is directly involved in ensuring focused and empathetic patient care. Responsibilities include greeting and triaging patients, preparing examination and procedure rooms, obtaining patient histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements. Administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and procedures, managing documents like pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results are also part of the role. The Medical Assistant will assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments while maintaining a calming presence for patients.

Requirements

1+ years of experience as an MA
Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
Computer literacy (experience using EMR/EHR)
Computer proficient
