About The Position
Sun River Health is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant to support our Park Care location in Yonkers, NY. The Medical Assistant helps patients and the clinical team by performing various tasks in support of medical care, following the Center's objectives and policies. This role involves ensuring job duties are performed in compliance with systems and job-specific standards.
Requirements
- High School diploma/ GED with Medical Assistant Training Certificate
- 0-1 year of related work experience

- Associate's degree with Medical Assistant Training Certificate
Responsibilities
- Completes the rooming process and takes vital signs, vision, and/or hearing tests.
- Records patient data in eCW, including laboratory results, pain level, PEAS, PhQ, Smoke status, etc., and documents the reason for the visit.
- Performs in-house labs and collects specimens for outside labs (e.g., Pap, cultures).
- Performs quality control in accordance with organizational protocols.
- Keeps the clinical area stocked and organized, ensuring all dated materials are current and outdated supplies are disposed of.
- Cleans and sterilizes all equipment and logs each instance of this service.
- Performs basic clerical work in the service area, answers phones appropriately, and communicates problems/concerns to the nurse.
- Handles telephone inquiries.
- Ensures all appropriate logs are maintained.
