About The Position

Responsibilities

• Serve as a patient advocate during examinations and treatment.
• Record medical history and confirm the purpose of each visit.
• Ensure proper documentation is obtained before preparing patients for treatment.
• Prepare patients for examination.
• Assist providers with examining and treating patients.
• Perform hands-on clinical tasks, including blood draws, injections, wound care, and assisting during procedures.
• Comply with HIPAA requirements and follow safe OSHA practices.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records.
• Provide patient education.
• Return patient phone calls.
• Under provider direction, authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
• Collect, document, and deliver laboratory specimens.
