About The Position

Under the direction of a Psychiatrist and in collaboration with the clinical team, the Medical Assistant supports psychiatric care by conducting intake interviews, collecting vital signs, administering medications and injections, and drawing blood for testing. The role includes accurately recording information about the people served in medical records and supporting continuity of care. The Medical Assistant also helps foster a trauma-informed environment that promotes wellness.

This is a Monday–Friday opportunity during standard business hours at 4455 E 12th Ave., Denver, CO 80222. Compensation is $27.90 per hour. The posted range represents the full hiring range; offers will not exceed it, and most candidates are placed near the midpoint based on experience and qualifications. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• At least one year of experience in a clinical or medical office setting.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a community mental health center or behavioral health environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens and prepare them for laboratory testing.
• Conduct intake interviews to gather medical histories.
• Measure and record vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Document medical history, test results, and vital statistics in medical records.
• Share relevant medical information with the treatment team to support integrated care.
• Coordinate medical care with clinical staff and psychiatrists.
• Foster a trauma-informed environment that promotes wellness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
