About The Position

Corewell Health is offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for this opportunity! This role focuses on adult diabetes management, including education, medication management, and coordination of care for complex chronic conditions, including gender dysphoria. Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering diverse care options and opportunities for learning and specialization. As a Medical Assistant, you will be a vital member of the clinical support team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible patient care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)

Nice To Haves

• Preferred AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
