Medical Assistant - Urgent Care - Torrey Pines
About The Position
This is a full-time benefited position that includes both front office and back office Medical Assistant duties (clerical and clinical). The schedule consists of 12-hour day shifts, primarily from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., on varying weekdays, and requires working every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Requirements
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
- BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)

- One year of experience as an MA in an outpatient setting
- Urgent Care experience
Responsibilities
- Frequently transport a high volume of patients to ancillary testing areas using a wheelchair or gurney.
- Front and back office duties
- Point of care testing

- Responding to medical emergencies
