The Research Assistant I will join the team at the Shiley Center for Orthopaedic Research and Education (SCORE). SCORE is a multi-disciplinary team of biologists, engineers and orthopaedic surgeons focused on cell-based regenerative approaches for the repair of damaged and diseased musculoskeletal tissues. We undertake specialized research into the biology of cartilage, meniscus, tendon, and bone and apply this expertise to tissue engineering. To be successful, the Research Assistant must be flexible to adjust to changing priorities and eager to learn. The general duties of the Research Assistant I includes assisting with multiple aspects of clinical trials ensuring data integrity, positive interactions with potential study subjects, document management, administrative support and evaluation process. Keeps internal data entry systems up-to-date. Provides superior service to principle investigators and research sponsors within scope of responsibilities. May perform medical assistant skills, if certified. May act as phlebotomist, if certified.
