About The Position

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center is a destination for highly coordinated cancer care, from screening to diagnosis to treatment to survivorship. Recognized as a top place to work in health care, Baptist Health cares for more patients in Northeast Florida than any other provider, ranking as “most preferred” for more than 30 years. We’re Jacksonville's only locally governed, faith-based, not-for-profit health system and provide a full spectrum of preventive and specialty care through 200+ locations and six hospitals. Our centers of excellence include Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baptist Heart Hospital, Baptist Neurological Institute and Wolfson Children's Hospital. Baptist Health is seeking to add an energetic and dynamic Medical Assistant (MA) for our Baptist MD Anderson Surgical Oncology Clinic, located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time opportunity with a 40 hour a week commitment and will primary support the South campus, but may be asked to travel to the other campuses as needed. As a Medical Assistant in our outpatient oncology surgical clinic, you’ll be the first point of connection for patients, helping them feel supported from the moment they arrive. Your day will include preparing exam rooms, taking vitals, assisting with minor procedures, and coordinating patient flow to ensure visits run smoothly. By working closely with nurses, physicians, and the care team, you’ll play an essential role in delivering safe, compassionate care to patients throughout their surgical oncology journey. Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center combines the clinical breakthroughs of the number one cancer center in America and the full resources of North Florida’s largest and most preferred health system. Baptist Health’s care for the community spans generations. Together, we’re the largest group of people in Northeast Florida focused on innovative health care for patients, improving the health equity of our neighbors, and creating a welcoming workplace for team members where everyone’s voice is heard.
