About The Position
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for preparing patients for exams, obtaining vital signs, and assisting with office flow. This role involves direct patient interaction and ensuring the exam room is ready for the physician.
Requirements
- Experience with obtaining vital signs.
- Ability to perform blood pressure checks.
- Familiarity with SaO2 saturation.
- Experience with PAP downloads.
- Ability to respond to emergencies.
- Understanding of office flow.
- Skill in preparing equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Place the patient in the exam room in a prepared comfort position for the exam.
- Obtain patient’s vital signs.
- Weigh patient.
- Perform blood pressure check utilizing appropriate cuff size.
- Record vital signs on patient form and in medical record.
- Obtain SaO2 sat on new patients or as needed.
- Perform PAP downloads whenever applicable.
- Respond to emergencies in an appropriate and timely manner and according to policy.
- Assist with the responsibility of office flow.
- Prepare equipment and supplies to be used during exam.
