Medical Assistant (MA)/LPN - Sleep Medicine Clinic
About The Position
As a Medical Assistant/LPN, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day. As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will welcome patients and support their transition into care, take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings, prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures, administer medications and vaccines as directed, perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing, document care accurately in the electronic health record, and partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care. The sleep medicine clinic at 4131 W Loomis Rd (Aurora Sleep Medicine – Greenfield) is a specialty clinic focused on diagnosing and treating sleep disorders through advanced testing and personalized care. It evaluates and treats sleep-related conditions such as sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, and other sleep disorders, provides diagnostic services including in-lab sleep studies (polysomnography) and home sleep testing, offers comprehensive and individualized treatment plans, and involves multidisciplinary expertise from specialists in sleep medicine, pulmonology, and neurology to manage complex cases. Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices
- GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.
- Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing
Responsibilities
