About The Position

The Urgent Care Medical Assistant assists in the management of patient care and coordinates patient flow to ensure care is delivered safely effectively and efficiently, while providing direct and indirect assistance to the patient and physician, and serving as a liaison between the facility, physician, insurance company and other healthcare agencies.

Requirements

• Require current/active Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant credential.
• BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one (1) year clinical experience in an Urgent care Center or Ambulatory/Outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated computer literacy with windows-based programs.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to handle difficult customers or situations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
• Previous college or vocational training.
• The ability to multi-task, prioritize duties and demonstrate initiative and self-direction.
