About The Position

Vanderbilt Health is the region's largest comprehensive academic health system, dedicated to providing world-class care, education, and research. Vanderbilt Orthopaedics, Tennessee's leading provider of orthopedic care, has opened a new clinic in Antioch. This role supports the licensed healthcare team in performing office examinations and procedures by organizing and managing clinic patient flow, gathering and documenting patient screening data, assisting with patient and family education, and communicating with the patient's healthcare team. The clinic serves a diverse patient population, from professional athletes to active seniors, and is the exclusive healthcare provider for the Nashville Soccer Club.

Requirements

  • MA certification recognized by Vanderbilt Health (AMT, AAMA, NCCT, NHA, NAHP) or ability to obtain certification within 120 days.
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • Experience Level: Less than 1 year
  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program

Nice To Haves

  • Can sit for exam if they have 12 months of patient care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the licensed healthcare team in performing office examinations and procedures by organizing and managing clinic patient flow, gathering and documenting patient screening data, assist with patient and family education and communication with patient's health care team.
  • Directs and supports patient flow as well as unit operations by maintaining supplies, equipment and unit environmental standards.
  • Facilitates identification of resources to meet patient healthcare needs.
  • Performs/assists with procedures according to organizational/departmental standards.
  • Collects and documents patient screening data for the healthcare team.
  • Assists with patient and family education.
